The Blackwell Legacy
This being one of the first Wadjet Eye Games, I didn’t know how high I should set my expectations going in. Just to be sure I set them at rock bottom, and the game ended up being a pleasant surprise.
Much of the presentation is weak, like the pixel art, the music, the voice acting, and that it crashed 3 times. But the most crucial elements, the story and the puzzle designs are good. It’s short and easy, but not boring in the least. The characters hooked me immediately, which was enough for me to overlook all the other weaker elements. So if you, like me, is only just now thinking of playing the Blackwell series, playing them from the start is just fine.
